Many of the social impacts of technology are negative, but there are a few positive impacts of technology on the social lives of the population. Computer games have become a big part in today's society and have changed the way kids and adults do things in everyday life. throughout the years technology has become more advanced and software has become more demanding. With all the different technology it has major impacts on society, the effects this has had on society is that people now no longer spend as much time with their family or friends they now just stay inside on Computer games and social networking sites. In the 1980's and 1990's the majority of people under 18 spent allot of there spare time watching TV. Although TV is still a popular pass time, they spend most of there time playing computer games or social networking or instant messaging on the internet.
in 2012 39% of the american population spend more time talking to people online, than talking to them face to face.
